Dr. Kriselda Alvarado was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She attended the University of Texas-Pan American and received her Bachelor of Science degree with a recognition of Magna Cum Laude in 2001. Dr. Alvarado continued her studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry and received her Doctorate of Optometry
Dr. Kriselda Alvarado was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She attended the University of Texas-Pan American and received her Bachelor of Science degree with a recognition of Magna Cum Laude in 2001. Dr. Alvarado continued her studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry and received her Doctorate of Optometry degree in 2005. She is a member of the Texas Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and the Rio Grande Valley Optometric Society.
Dr. Alvarado is licensed by the Texas Optometry Board as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. This high level of education allows her to evaluate, diagnose and treat different types and stages of glaucoma. Along with specializing in glaucoma, Dr. Alvarado also provides services in Pediatrics, Diabetes, Dry eyes, Retinal diseases, Removal of foreign bodies and Specialty contact lens fittings.
Dr. Bieker is a Certified Therapeutic Optometrist with 45 years of experience. His exams are detailed, and his experience allows for wide variety of specialized medical treatments. Dr. Bieker is known for taking time to listen to his patients' concerns and evaluate symptoms with a healthy dose of respect for the patients' own intuition. He is also available after hours for emergencies.
